UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Schladming, Austria
The MTB-Event at the finishing piste of the Planai is the season finale for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2008. From September 12th -14th 2008 the best mountain bike downhill racers in the world will meet in Schladming, Austria.
Schladming in Styria is this year in its 5th year hosting the UCI Mountain bike World Cup. Just as in previous years, adrenaline-infused action and breathtaking stunts are guaranteed. This year the Olympic discipline of Cross country racing will the absolute highlight. All Olympic winners from Beijing will start exclusively in Schladming. But you can also expect to see top Downhill racing and Four-cross racing stars among the 600 participants.

The already renowned trail at the Planai will be shown in an even better light this year. When the Hohenhaus Tenne received a facelift, the famous trail planner Phil Saxena used this chance to create what is probably the best MTB-World Cup trail in the world. All the downhill races and 4X-races will take place on this brand-new lit track. From the Hohenhaus Tenne you will have the best view to watch these spectacular runs.

- Olympic Cross / Cross Country (OC / CC, XC)
Loop course with steep ups and downs, leading through the Schladminger Hauptplatz. Cross Country has been an Olympic discipline since 1996. - Downhill (DH)
Fast downhill race, extremely challenging, includes jumps. Starts at the medium terminal of the Planai. - Four-Cross (4X)
4 men or 4 women in direct competition, short Downhill-trail at the Planai. Floodlit races throughout the evening.
