Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Statement
In accordance with Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523 of 11 October 2018 establishing a model accessibility statement in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies
Accessibility Statement
Pichlmayrgut endeavours to ensure that its website complies with Section 3 of the Styrian Web Accessibility Act (StWZG) implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327 of 2 December 2016, p. 1).
This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.pichlmayrgut.at/.
Description of the service
Status of compliance with the requirements
Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, this website is only partially compliant with Conformity Level AA of the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1’ and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (August 2018).
Non-accessible content
The following content is not accessible, as it does not comply with the underlying harmonised standard EN 301 549:
- One page contains SVG images without captions. This makes it difficult to navigate to the SVG images using screen readers.
- Several pages contain links without link text.
- On all pages, the contrast between text and background is too low.
- On all pages, there are form fields without labels. This makes it difficult to navigate to the form fields using screen readers.
- On one page, there are elements with the ‘aria-hidden’ attribute that can still be focused. This means these elements are accessible to assistive technologies, even though they should be hidden.
- Several pages contain interactive elements whose names are not included in their labels. This makes it difficult to control the website using voice commands.
The following content is not accessible as it would impose a disproportionate burden:
Many older PDF and Word documents are not accessible. For example, they are not tagged, meaning that screen reader users cannot access them, or can only access them inadequately, in terms of structural information. This means that the WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) is not met. For new PDF and Word documents, we plan to take into account the accessibility requirements in accordance with WCAG 2.1 and, where possible, PDF/UA.
The following content is not accessible as it does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation:
Our videos are hosted and published on the YouTube video platform. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions for some of these videos. Consequently, WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.5 (Recorded audio description) is not met. We have assessed the costs of rectifying the issue. We consider that this would currently constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will evaluate what alternatives are available.
Third-party content, such as documents or posters relating to events or menus from establishments outside the local authority’s sphere of influence, is exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding the compliance of this third-party content with accessibility regulations.
This statement was generated on 14 October 2026 using Eye-Able technology from Web Inclusion GmbH. Further information on Web Inclusion GmbH can be found at https://eye-able.com/. Mediation procedure
If you are not satisfied with the response received via the contact details provided above, you may lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman’s Office for Accessible Internet and Mobile Applications of the Province. The complaint will be examined to determine whether it constitutes a breach of the provisions of Section 3 of the Styrian Web Accessibility Act (StWZG) concerning bodies of the province, municipalities, municipal associations and self-governing bodies established by provincial law. If the complaint is justified, the Ombudsman’s Office must issue recommendations for action to the State or the relevant legal entities and propose measures designed to remedy the identified shortcomings. Further information on the complaints procedure can be found on the website of the Ombudsman’s Office for Accessible Internet and Mobile Applications.
Optional content: Additional information and user guidance
Usability notes: Page structure, navigation and orientation aids
To ensure the content remains as accessible as possible in terms of accessibility, the pages follow a standardised structure. The navigation bar contains the following jump links to the page sections listed below, some of which can also be accessed via Landmark Roles:
- Skip to content (access key 1)
- Skip to navigation (access key 2)
- Jump to sub-navigation (access key 3)
- Skip to search (Access key 4)
Screen reader users will find additional information hidden from view on the pages, such as a note on how links behave if the link does not open in the same window
Responsive layout
The websites are designed to be responsive, optimised for mobile devices and to accommodate significant zooming. The content adapts to different window widths. When zooming in on desktop browsers, please refresh the page after setting the desired zoom level. At 200% magnification, no areas should overlap.
Search option
The search function offers a full-text search of the website’s content. The search results are dynamically generated and displayed on the same page.
Language labelling and language
The default language is set for each website. Within a website, we aim to label all text passages in other languages accordingly.
Link behaviour
- All links open in the same window and are not explicitly labelled.
- In exceptional cases where links open in new windows, we endeavour to indicate this behaviour with the addition ‘opens in a new window’ as a tooltip.
- Links to internal documents include the document format and size in the link title, or this information is displayed next to the document name.
Documents
We endeavour to continuously improve accessibility in our PDF documents as well, and to this end we follow the guidelines for accessible content in addition to the ISO standard PDF/UA. Accessible access to the content of all PDF documents in accordance with the PDF/UA standard cannot be fully guaranteed.
Please let us know by emailing info@pichlmayrgut.at if you encounter any difficulties with the documents. Upon request, we will make the content accessible and subsequently replace the documents or supplement them with accessible alternatives.
